A Wealth of Experience
Lee started his career in the wealth management field at R.G. Dickinson, a financial services company. After 10 years, Lee transitioned to Baird, where he has spent the past 35 years. At Baird, Lee has continued to develop a specific expertise in money management and income streams. In addition, Lee has been a recipient of the "Toast of Baird" award, a merit-based recognition, for many years.
Lee describes his investment philosophy as using "experience and knowledge to evaluate investments based on their ability to provide clients either an enhanced yield or return based on the underlying business. I develop opinions on the sustainability and durability of that business over time, and make my decision based on: "Is it a business I can rely on and am I paying a good price for it?".
Lee is a proud alum of the University of Arizona where he earned his finance degree. When he’s not helping his clients, Lee enjoys bike riding and spending time at his home in Evanston, IL. For 3 years, Lee served on the Finance Committee Board of Connections for the Homeless to help provide financial oversight for the nonprofit organization. The organization prides itself on helping individuals with stable housing and providing supportive services for self-sufficiency.
At the end of the day, Lee’s most important role is that of a husband and father to his wife Holly and their children Ryan, Jori, and Ali. As the Zimmerman family continues to grow, Lee is a proud grandfather to six beautiful grandchildren.
